System overview
A multi-layer resin system with a coloured quartz aggregate broadcast into the wet body coat, then sealed with a clear resin. The result is a dense, hard-wearing, textured surface engineered for wet-process, food-prep and plant-room environments.
Available on epoxy or PU chemistry — PU is standard where thermal shock, chemical or wash-down performance is required.
3–6 mm typical (4 mm nominal).
Excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, solvents, fats, oils and cleaning chemicals — the specific chemistry (epoxy or PU base) is chosen against the exposure profile identified at survey.

Installation process
- Step 01
Survey and hygiene review
We walk the site with your ops or QA team, confirm chemical exposure, cleaning regime and audit standard (BRC, HACCP, SALSA).
- Step 02
Substrate preparation
Diamond grinding or shot-blasting to CSP 4, cracks resin-repaired, coves formed at wall junctions.
- Step 03
Priming
Moisture-tolerant primer applied to bind the substrate and prevent outgassing.
- Step 04
Body coat and broadcast
Pigmented resin body coat is trowel-applied, and coloured quartz is broadcast to full refusal into the wet layer.
- Step 05
Vacuum and seal
Once cured, loose aggregate is HEPA-vacuumed. A clear resin seal coat is applied — one or two passes depending on slip rating.
- Step 06
Handover
System cures to full chemical resistance in 5–7 days. Handover pack includes cleaning schedule and O&M for auditor sign-off.

Maintenance guidance
- Daily: auto-scrub with soft-bristle brush and mild alkaline detergent
- Weekly: deep clean with rotary and pH-neutral degreaser

No. Quartz broadcast is a 3–6 mm decorative textured build; PU screed is a 4–9 mm heavy-duty seamless topping with different mechanical properties.
The R-value is set by the aggregate grade and the number of seal coats. Adding a further seal coat reduces slip; broadcasting more aggregate over a re-primed surface increases it.
