Showroom floors are lit for scrutiny — every joint, roller mark and grout line reads under downlights. Traditional tiles crack under vehicle loading, vinyl scuffs from tyre pickup and polished concrete dusts. A poured metallic or self-smoothing resin gives you a jointless, mirror-flat surface with the depth and colour movement premium brands want.

Installation process
- 1Showroom survey and lighting audit
Substrate flatness checked against lighting plan — critical for reading a metallic finish.
- 2Diamond grinding and levelling
Mechanical prep, plus resin levelling compound where substrate flatness fails under lighting.
- 3Primer and roller-broadcast
Epoxy primer with silica broadcast for full mechanical key ahead of the finish.
- 4Metallic or self-smoothing body coat
Roller- and trowel-worked to hero the pigment movement and remove edge marks.
- 5Clear PU seal, 2 coats
Aliphatic PU sealer coats applied with a system-dependent interval between coats for depth, gloss and tyre-pickup resistance.
- 6Cure and handback
Cure and return-to-service times vary by system and site conditions.
Maintenance
- Daily damp-mop or auto-scrub with pH-neutral detergent
- Weekly walkoff-matting swap-out at customer entrances
- Immediate wipe-up of fuel, coolant and battery-acid spills at handover bays
- PU seal re-application to reset gloss and slip rating when inspection indicates it
Showroom FAQs
Will it survive hot tyres and vehicle turning?
The aliphatic PU sealer coats can be formulated for tyre-pickup resistance. Vehicles go back on once the system has fully cured, which varies by system and site conditions.
Can you match our brand colour?
Yes — solid colours match RAL, BS or Pantone. Metallic pigments are custom-blended to sample for main-dealer identity.
How does metallic compare to polished concrete?
Metallic resin is jointless, dust-free, colour-tunable and reads far cleaner under showroom LEDs. Polished concrete continues to dust and pit at joints.
Can you install into a live dealership?
Yes — installs are phased zone-by-zone around handover bays and customer areas, typically over closed Sundays plus a weekday shutdown.
How flat is the finish?
Self-smoothing systems self-level to a tight tolerance. Metallics are worked to the same standard and read mirror-flat under lighting.
Will it show tyre marks?
The clear PU seal resists rubber transfer. Any pickup generally lifts with a standard scrub and is unlikely to leave a lasting mark.
Can you install two-tone brand zoning?
Yes — brand strips, hero pads and customer walkways can be poured in different colours with crisp masked transitions.
How long is the install?
Programme length depends on the system, area and site conditions, including cure before vehicle re-fit.
What's the lifespan?
We don't quote a fixed figure. A PU seal refresh, carried out when inspection and wear indicate it, resets gloss and slip rating without replacing the floor.
Is it slip-safe for wet customer feet?
The PU seal is finished to an appropriate slip rating as standard; anti-slip additive can raise this at entrance zones without compromising the metallic look.
