A properly installed resin garage floor changes what the space is used for. Once the concrete is fully sealed and the finish is right, the garage stops being somewhere to park and store boxes and becomes a room you actually want to use. That is the standard we build to.
We install flake, metallic and solid-colour epoxy garage systems across the West Midlands, from single garages to detached workshops and multi-bay coach houses. Every job starts with full mechanical preparation and finishes with a multi-coat resin build. We don't sell one-day paint jobs and we don't cut corners on the prep.

Our installation process
Every garage flooring project follows the same disciplined sequence. Skipping steps is where floors fail — we don't skip.
- Step 01
Survey and moisture check
We attend the property, check slab moisture, look for rising damp signs and confirm the finish choice on physical samples. Older UK garage slabs sometimes lack a DPM — if that's the case we'll spec a moisture-tolerant primer.
- Step 02
Clear-out and mask-up
The garage is fully emptied before we start. We mask thresholds, walls and doorways so the finish sits crisply against every edge.
- Step 03
Diamond grinding
The concrete is diamond-ground with HEPA-vacuumed extraction to remove the surface laitance and open the pores. This is what gives the resin something to key into — no grind, no bond, no exceptions.
- Step 04
Crack and joint repair
Every crack, spall and cold joint is cut out, filled with epoxy repair mortar and sanded flush. Control joints are honoured or bridged depending on their movement.
- Step 05
Primer coat
A penetrating epoxy primer is roller-applied to seal the slab, block minor moisture and give the body coat a bonded base.
- Step 06
Coloured base coat
The pigmented body coat is laid and, for flake systems, decorative vinyl chips are broadcast into the wet resin to full refusal. The excess is swept up and reclaimed the next morning.
- Step 07
Clear high-build top coat
One or two clear top coats seal the flake or metallic layer and deliver the final sheen. For flake floors the top coat is what gives the subtle underfoot texture and the anti-slip profile.
- Step 08
Reinstatement
We remove masking, reinstate thresholds, hand over the aftercare guide and issue the guarantee. Foot traffic is fine the next day; vehicles back in after 5–7 days.
Where it works, where it doesn't
We're honest about specification. A system installed in the wrong environment will fail no matter how well it's laid.

Durability and lifespan
A properly-installed flake garage floor will typically last 15–20 years or more in a domestic garage. Metallic floors sit in a similar range. What kills a garage floor early is one of two things: poor preparation (a floor that was painted rather than ground) or moisture pushing up through an un-primed slab. We eliminate both at survey stage.
The clear top coat is the sacrificial wear layer. In 10–15 years, if you want the floor looking brand new again, we can lightly abrade and re-coat with a fresh top coat at a fraction of the cost of a full re-install.

Cure schedule at 20°C. Colder conditions extend times; heated cures accelerate them.

Maintenance and aftercare
A resin garage floor is genuinely low maintenance. Sweep the loose grit out (or blow it out with a leaf blower — surprisingly effective), then mop with warm water and a neutral cleaner. That's it. No sealing, no waxing, no annual treatment.
The one thing to be aware of is grit-under-tyre — the same effect as sandpaper on a work bench. Regular sweeping is the whole answer to keeping the floor looking new for years.

- Wipe up oil, fuel and brake fluid promptly
- Use furniture sliders under heavy tool chests
- Avoid dragging metal jack stands across the surface
Colour, finish and customisation
Garage floors are where we get the most creative freedom. Flake blends are mixed to your spec — you can match a car colour, a workshop brand, a football team or just pick something you like on the sample panel. We stock dozens of standard blends and custom-mix for one-off jobs.
Metallic finishes give a completely different look — deep, three-dimensional pearlescent floors that look poured rather than painted. And for enthusiasts we can inlay logos, feature stripes and colour-zoned bays.

Garage Flooring — frequently asked
How long does a garage floor installation take?+
A standard single garage is two days on site, with a 5 to 7 day cure before you drive on it. A double garage is usually three days on site.
Will hot tyres damage the floor?+
Not on a properly installed system. Hot tyre pick-up is a symptom of poor preparation and bonding, which is why supermarket paint kits fail. A ground-and-primed epoxy build is unaffected.
What if the concrete is old and cracked?+
Cracks are cut out and repaired as part of the standard prep. Occasionally we find a slab that needs remediation before coating, and we flag that at survey rather than after mobilisation.
Can I do it in stages if I only want to clear half the garage?+
Yes. A two-visit install means you never have to fully empty the space. It adds one visit to the programme.
How much does a garage floor cost?+
Cost depends on size, condition and finish. Most single garages fall inside a straightforward range and every quote is fixed-price after survey, with no day-rate creep.
