Installation process

Wet-area classification, weight-drop zones and chlorine exposure captured before spec.
- 2Tile / vinyl removal
Existing tiles, adhesive and coatings mechanically removed back to substrate.
- 3Diamond grinding
Full mechanical prep to the required surface profile depending on system.
- 4Repair and falls check
Slab repaired and falls to drains verified — critical for pool-surround dry-off.
- 5PU or epoxy body coat
System applied to spec thickness, coved up walls at wet-zone junctions.
- 6Anti-slip broadcast
Aggregate broadcast tuned to an appropriate slip rating at pool surround, showers and shower transitions.
- 7Seal and handback
Chlorine-stable seal applied; cure and return-to-service times vary by system and site conditions.
Maintenance
- Daily scrub of wet zones with pool-safe pH-neutral detergent
- Weekly deep-clean of aggregate zones with a soft-brush rotary machine
- Quarterly slip-resistance spot-check at pool surround and shower thresholds
- Aggregate top-up based on observed wear and inspection in high-splash zones

Will the floor cope with dropped free weights?
High-build impact-rated epoxy takes typical commercial dumbbell drops. Olympic lifting platforms need rubber overlays for the plate impact.
How slip-safe is it in wet zones?
Aggregate-broadcast PU systems are tuned to an appropriate slip rating for both shod and barefoot use — pool-surround and shower spec.
Is it chlorine-safe?
Yes — chlorine-stable aliphatic PU seals resist bleaching and softening in pool-hall environments.
Can you install without closing the whole facility?
Yes. Zones are phased around class timetables and pool downtime — typically overnight or weekend windows.
Will the finish be hygienic in changing rooms?
Yes. Jointless, coved to walls and easy to power-wash — bacteria have nowhere to sit compared to tiled and grouted surfaces.
Can we colour-code training zones?
Yes — warm-up, free-weight, functional and cardio areas can be poured in different RAL colours for facility zoning.
Can you re-detail drainage falls?
Yes. Falls are worked into the finish during install; slot drains and gullies are re-dressed with stainless upstands.
Will it survive spa oils and lotions?
PU seals resist mineral oil and body lotion residue. Weekly deep-clean prevents build-up in aggregate zones.
What lifespan should we expect?
We don't quote a fixed figure — it depends on the system, substrate, environment, loading, use and cleaning. Wet areas take seal refreshes soonest, carried out when inspection indicates it, to reset chlorine resistance.
