Not everything we pour is a floor. The same materials and techniques used underfoot are used on hand-poured resin worktops, kitchen islands, breakfast bars, doors, tables, bar tops and feature panels. Every piece is a one-off, poured, worked and finished by hand.

Our installation process
Every bespoke resin finishes project follows the same disciplined sequence. Skipping steps is where floors fail — we don't skip.
- Step 01
Design and sample panels
We work from your reference images, interior palette or design brief and produce physical sample panels. For worktops and bar tops, the sample is A3-size so you can see the pigment movement at scale.
- Step 02
Substrate preparation
The base — usually plywood, MDF, existing worktop or a purpose-built carcass — is prepared, edged and primed. For high-load surfaces we bond a stone or ply substrate first for rigidity.
- Step 03
Primer and base coat
An epoxy primer seals the substrate, followed by a solid-colour base coat (usually white, black or a mid-tone chosen to sit under the decorative layer).
- Step 04
Hand-poured decorative work
This is where the piece becomes one-off. Metallic pigments, marble veining, pearl movement or terrazzo aggregate are worked wet-on-wet by hand. Movement is drawn in with brushes, air and (carefully) solvents.
- Step 05
Clear top coat(s)
One to three clear top coats build the depth and deliver the sheen. For worktops and bar tops we specify a food-safe, scratch-resistant clear PU with a bull-nose or ogee edge detail as required.
- Step 06
Edge finishing and install
Edges are hand-worked to the specified profile, the piece is cured under controlled conditions and then installed on site with matched-in seams and fixings hidden from view.
Where it works, where it doesn't
We're honest about specification. A system installed in the wrong environment will fail no matter how well it's laid.

- Outdoor unshaded installations (UV over years dulls the sheen)
- Surfaces subjected to constant heat above 90°C (trivet needed for hot pans)
- Cutting boards — always cut on a chopping board, not directly on the surface

Trade-offs

- •Not the cheapest option vs off-the-shelf worktops
- •Hot pans and sharp knives can mark the top coat (as with any worktop)
Durability and lifespan
A properly built resin worktop or bar top will typically deliver 10–15 years of daily use before the top coat wants a refresh. Marble effect and metallic pigments are sealed under the top coat so wear happens to the sacrificial clear layer, not to the decorative work.
Because everything is repairable, a burnt spot, a chip or a scratch can be spot-repaired on site and blended back in — not something you can do with quartz or stone.
Curing times
Cure schedule at 20°C. Colder conditions extend times; heated cures accelerate them.

Maintenance and aftercare
Resin worktops and bar tops are maintained like any high-end surface: wipe down after use with a neutral pH cleaner, use trivets under hot pans and cut on a chopping board rather than directly on the surface. Avoid strong solvents and neat bleach — they attack the top coat sheen over time.
For heavily-used pieces we recommend a light professional re-seal every 5–7 years to refresh the top coat. It's a half-day job on site and resets the whole life-clock on the piece.

Colour, finish and customisation
Bespoke resin work is where our design freedom is at its widest. We work from reference images, mood boards or interior palettes and produce physical samples until the design is signed off. Every piece is one-off; nothing is repeatable exactly, and that is the point.
Effects run from photographic marble replicas through hand-poured metallic and pearlescent finishes, terrazzo with feature aggregate, and pigmented flat colour with feature-inlaid brass or copper. Edge profiles, cutouts, drainer grooves and integrated splashbacks are all part of the standard service.

Bespoke Resin Finishes — frequently asked
Is resin food-safe?+
Yes. Once cured, our top-coat resins are inert and food-safe. The same systems are used every day in commercial food-prep environments.
Can I cut directly on a resin worktop?+
No. Use a chopping board. Direct knife work will mark any top coat over time.
What about hot pans?+
Use trivets. Resin top coats tolerate warm dishes, but continuous contact with a pan straight off the hob will mark the surface.
How long is the lead time?+
Typically 3 to 4 weeks from sign-off to install on a standard worktop, depending on size and complexity.
