A blistered patch, a delaminated area or a failed joint can usually be repaired without lifting the whole floor — provided the underlying cause is diagnosed and fixed first. We survey failed installations, identify the root cause and specify a repair that lasts.
We work on resin floors we didn't install as well as our own. Most failures we see come from one of three things: inadequate mechanical preparation, uncontrolled substrate moisture, or the wrong specification for the environment. We tell you which, before we quote.

Our installation process
Every resin floor repairs project follows the same disciplined sequence. Skipping steps is where floors fail — we don't skip.
- Step 01
Survey and diagnosis
We attend site, take moisture readings, adhesion pull-off tests where relevant, and photograph the failure. You get a written report on cause before we quote the fix.
- Step 02
Isolation and containment
The failing area is cut back to sound edges with a diamond blade. Dust is HEPA-vacuumed as we go.
- Step 03
Substrate remediation
If moisture is the cause we apply a moisture-tolerant surface DPM. If preparation was the cause we re-grind and re-profile.
- Step 04
Repair build-up
The failing coat is rebuilt in matching resin — same primer, body and top coat as the surrounding floor, keyed into the existing edges.
- Step 05
Blending
For decorative floors we blend colour and effect across the repair line — metallic pours, flake broadcast or coloured screeds are matched by hand.
- Step 06
Top coat
Where possible we re-coat the whole panel to visually unify the repair. Where budget doesn't allow, we blend at a natural break.
- Step 07
Sign-off
Snag, aftercare and a written guarantee on the repaired area.

We're honest about specification. A system installed in the wrong environment will fail no matter how well it's laid.

Durability and lifespan
A correctly diagnosed and repaired area performs as long as the original floor around it. Where repairs fail early it is almost always because the root cause was patched over rather than fixed.
We only quote repairs where we're confident the underlying cause can be addressed — otherwise we'll tell you honestly that replacement is the right answer.
Curing times
Cure schedule at 20°C. Colder conditions extend times; heated cures accelerate them.

Maintenance and aftercare
Same maintenance as the surrounding floor. If a top-coat re-seal was included, cure times apply before heavy traffic.
Inspect the repair edge annually for any hairline separation — early re-seal is cheaper than a second repair.

Colour, finish and customisation
Repairs are matched to the existing floor — colour, sheen and effect. On metallic and marble floors, blend is by hand; on solid colour we can achieve very close matches.
Where the existing floor has aged significantly, we may recommend re-coating the whole panel or bay for visual consistency.

Can you repair a floor you didn't install?+
Yes — most of our repair work is on floors installed by others. We diagnose independently and quote honestly.
Why has my epoxy floor blistered?+
Usually residual substrate moisture or contamination under the coating. Sometimes wrong primer. Survey confirms which.
Will the repair be visible?+
On solid colour, generally not. On metallic or marble it can be blended very well but not made invisible. We'll show you samples first.
How much does a repair cost?+
Depends on area and cause. Typically 20–40% of a full replacement for a localised repair.
Do you guarantee the repair?+
Yes — written workmanship guarantee on the repaired area.
