Built for the way you actually use the space.
In retail the floor is part of the merchandising. Ours are seamless, joint-free, colour-matched to your brand and tough enough for trolleys, stiletto heels and cleaning trolleys through a full trading day. Installed around opening hours so trading is protected.
Seamless resin flooring for retail units, shops, boutiques and department stores.
In retail, the floor is part of the merchandising. A seamless, brand-matched resin floor gives you a designed base that pulls a store together — no grout lines to catch dirt, no tile joints to lift, and a finish that survives trolleys, stiletto heels and daily cleaning through a full trading day.
We install retail resin floors for boutiques, department stores, showrooms and multi-unit chains across Coventry, Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. Every project is agreed on sample panels first, and installed around opening hours so trading is protected.
Key benefits
- Brand-matched to RAL and Pantone colours
- Seamless finish across large open sales floors
- Zoning to guide footfall and highlight displays
- High-gloss, satin or matte sheen options
- Installed overnight or in phases to protect revenue
- UV-stable top coat resists trolley-wheel wear
Our installation process
Every retail resin flooring project follows the same disciplined sequence. Skipping steps is where floors fail — we don't skip.
- Step 01
Design consultation
We agree colour, sheen and layout on physical sample panels. Brand references are matched under store lighting, not on a screen.
- Step 02
Substrate assessment
Moisture testing, joint inspection and check for existing finishes that need to come up — vinyl, screed, tile adhesive.
- Step 03
Preparation
Diamond grinding with HEPA extraction so there is no dust into adjacent units or the mall.
- Step 04
Primer and body coat
Penetrating epoxy primer followed by the coloured body coat — self-smoothing or rolled to the specified depth of colour.
- Step 05
Decorative work
Metallic pours, flake broadcast or brand-line zoning laid in while the body coat is workable.
- Step 06
Clear top coat
UV-stable, scratch-resistant PU clear coat to lock in the design and hit the specified sheen.
- Step 07
Handover
Walk the floor with the store team, protect for fit-out trades if needed, issue aftercare schedule.
Where it works, where it doesn't
We're honest about specification. A system installed in the wrong environment will fail no matter how well it's laid.
Suitable for
- Retail units and boutiques
- Department stores and concessions
- Showrooms and galleries
- Shopping centres and malls
- Pop-up and event retail
Not suitable for
- Suspended timber decks without a rigid overlay
- Existing vinyl or lino that cannot be fully lifted
- Wet-process back-of-house — specify PU with coving instead
Advantages and trade-offs
Advantages
- No joints, no grout, no dirt traps
- Genuine bespoke colour and finish
- Very durable under footfall
- Refresh with a re-seal rather than replace
- Fast install vs tile or terrazzo
Trade-offs
- •Full cure needs 5–7 days before heavy trolley traffic
- •High-gloss shows micro-scratching over time — specify satin for high-traffic zones
- •Requires a sound, dry substrate
Durability and lifespan
A retail resin floor typically lasts 10–20 years before it needs a top-coat refresh. Trolley lanes at tills and entrances wear first — we specify a heavier top coat in those areas as standard.
Sheen holds up longest in satin and matte finishes. High-gloss reads beautifully on day one but starts to show wear patterns in 2–3 years under heavy footfall — worth thinking about at design stage.
Curing times
Cure schedule at 20°C. Colder conditions extend times; heated cures accelerate them.
| Stage | Time | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Foot traffic | 12–24 hours | Light walking in socks or clean shoes once the top coat has gelled. |
| Furniture return | 48 hours | Light furniture, tools and shelving can be reintroduced. |
| Vehicle traffic | 5–7 days | Hot tyres and heavier point loads once the PU clear coat has fully cross-linked. |
| Full chemical cure | 7 days | Chemical resistance, wet cleaning and heavy wear reach design spec. |
Maintenance and aftercare
Daily dust-mop and a weekly scrub with a neutral-pH detergent will keep the floor reading as installed. Avoid solvent-based cleaners on epoxy top coats.
Book a professional deep-clean annually and a top-coat re-seal in entrance and till zones every 5–7 years — a fraction of the cost of a full re-floor.
Aftercare checklist
- Daily dust-mop across the sales floor
- Weekly scrub with a neutral-pH detergent
- Walk-off matting at entrances
- Clean spills promptly — coffee, wine, ink
- Annual professional deep-clean
Colour, finish and customisation
Brand colour is the starting point. We match to Pantone or RAL under your store lighting so the floor reads correctly in situ, not just on a chip.
Zoning is where retail resin earns its keep — brand lines, till surrounds, feature circles and directional flows can all be poured into the floor rather than applied as vinyl over the top.
Available finishes
- ◆Solid colour self-smoothing
- ◆Metallic and pearl pours
- ◆Flake broadcast systems
- ◆Brand-line zoning
- ◆Gloss, satin or matte PU top coats

Share your brand palette and unit drawings — we'll produce sample panels before we commit to a design.
Retail Resin Flooring — frequently asked
Can you install without closing the store?+
For most units we install overnight or across a short closure. Multi-day fits are phased by zone so at least part of the floor stays open.
How long before we can trade on it?+
12–24 hours to walk in clean shoes, 48 hours for fit-out trades, 5–7 days for heavy trolley traffic.
Can you match our brand colour exactly?+
Yes — we work from Pantone or RAL references and produce sample panels under your store lighting before commitment.
Will trolley wheels mark the floor?+
Not under normal use. We specify heavier top coats in trolley lanes and at entrances where wear is concentrated.
What's the lead time?+
Typically 3–4 weeks from sign-off to install for a standard retail unit.
