Warehouse Resin Flooring

Warehouse decks need to stay dust-free under forklift wear and easy to line-mark to whatever your rack layout demands. We install and repair epoxy and PU systems zone-by-zone so picking never stops for the full programme.

Why resin

Why resin flooring works in warehouse.

Warehouse concrete takes a serious beating: point loads under racking legs, hard-wheel forklifts turning on the spot, pallet drops, spills and constant abrasion from picking traffic. A dusting or worn slab means product contamination, tyre damage and daily H&S complaints. A properly specified resin coating gives you a sealed, jointless surface that stays clean, reflects light and takes sustained MHE traffic.

We install into 3PL distribution hubs, ambient and chilled warehouses, VNA aisles, cross-docks, e-commerce fulfilment centres and manufacturer's finished-goods stores across Coventry, Birmingham and the wider Midlands corridor.

Common flooring challenges

  • Dusting concrete contaminating stock and MHE motors
  • Cracked, sunken or spalled slabs damaging forklift wheels
  • Faded or missing racking-aisle and pedestrian line marking
  • Chemical staining from battery bays and spillage zones
  • Slippery aisles at loading doors after rain ingress

Recommended resin systems

Heavy-duty epoxy

High-build epoxy for MHE-loaded aisles, marshalling zones and picking floors — abrasion-rated and easy to line-mark.

PU screed

For chilled and thermal-shock warehouses, wash-down zones and heavy pallet-drop areas.

Anti-static ESD flooring

Conductive epoxy for electronics warehousing, battery charge bays and sensitive-goods storage.

Flake broadcast finish

Decorative flake for goods-in / office-adjacent zones needing a smarter finish plus slip resistance.

Line marking package

Two-pack epoxy line marking for aisles, walkways, racking footprints and hazard zones — installed with the floor.

Installation process

  1. 1
    Site survey and MHE audit

Racking layout, wheel types, load ratings and daily traffic captured before spec.

  2. 2
    Moisture and tensile testing

Slab checked for RH, chloride and pull-off strength; failure points flagged before install.

  3. 3
    Diamond grinding / captive shot-blast

Mechanical prep to the required surface profile depending on system. Existing coatings removed.

  4. 4
    Crack, joint and pothole repair

Resin mortar reinstatement of expansion joints, pallet-drop craters and forklift damage.

  5. 5
    Primer and base coat

Epoxy or PU primer keyed into the ground substrate; base coat applied to spec thickness.

  6. 6
    Anti-slip broadcast where required

Silica or aluminium-oxide broadcast at loading doors and ramp zones.

  7. 7
    Line marking and handback

Aisles, walkways and hazard zones marked; cure and return-to-service times vary by system and site conditions.

Maintenance

  • Daily sweep with a battery ride-on scrubber and pH-neutral detergent
  • Monthly inspection of joints, ramps and loading-door thresholds
  • Localised patch repairs bond invisibly into the original coating
  • Re-marking of lines based on observed wear and inspection depending on traffic density

Relevant regulations & standards

  • HSE workplace slip-resistance and traffic-route separation guidance
  • Slab loading considerations for MHE-rated finishes
  • Hygiene and storage considerations where food-grade stock is held

Warehouse FAQs

Can you install without emptying the warehouse?

Yes — we phase installs zone-by-zone, working around racking, picking runs and dispatch windows. Overnight and weekend turnarounds can be arranged for critical aisles depending on the system specified.

Will the floor take counterbalance and reach-truck loading?

A correctly specified heavy-duty epoxy or PU screed can be rated for hard-wheel MHE, including reach-truck loading, when the system is selected for the traffic on site.

Do you install line marking as part of the job?

Yes. Aisle, walkway, racking-leg and hazard marking is installed as part of the finish using two-pack epoxy — not sprayed paint that fails inside a year.

How long before forklifts can go back on?

Cure and return-to-service times vary by system and site conditions, including ambient temperature.

Can you match my existing floor colour?

Yes — we can custom-mix RAL or BS colours for continuity across phased zones, or use bespoke flake blends to disguise transitions.

Do you offer anti-static flooring for electronics warehousing?

Yes. Fully conductive ESD systems with copper earthing grids are available for battery charge bays and sensitive-electronics storage.

How do you handle expansion joints?

Joints are reinstated over the finished floor using compressible sealant to avoid reflective cracking — never bridged rigidly.

Will the coating survive pallet drops?

Heavy-duty and PU systems tolerate typical pallet-drop impact without spalling. Repeated point impacts in fixed drop zones should use PU screed.

Do you cover chilled and freezer stores?

Yes. PU screed systems are specified for low-temperature and thermal-shock environments down to .

What's the typical warehouse floor lifespan?

We don't quote a fixed figure. Service life depends on the system specified, the substrate, MHE loading, use and cleaning. In practice, warehouse floors are maintained with periodic line re-marks and localised repairs at high-wear points rather than replaced.
