System overview
A decorative, hard-wearing resin system with coloured vinyl flakes broadcast into a pigmented epoxy body coat and locked in with a clear polyurethane seal coat. The result is a subtly textured, forgiving finish that hides drops, scuffs and minor damage.
The go-to system for workshops, private garages, back-of-house commercial spaces and any environment that needs to look considered but take real-world use.
1.5–3 mm typical (2 mm nominal).
Good resistance to fuels, oils, greases and household chemicals. Moderate resistance to solvents. Not suited to concentrated acids, aggressive solvents or hot wash-down.

Installation process
- Step 01
Preparation and priming
Substrate is diamond-ground to CSP 3, cracks resin-repaired, and a penetrating primer applied.
- Step 02
Coloured body coat
A pigmented epoxy base coat is rolled to match the flake colour and provide the ground for broadcast.
- Step 03
Flake broadcast
Vinyl flakes are broadcast to refusal into the wet body coat by hand and machine. Coverage density is built to the specified blend.
- Step 04
Sand and vacuum
Once cured, the surface is lightly sanded to knock off proud flakes, then HEPA-vacuumed to leave a clean base for sealing.
- Step 05
Clear PU seal coat
One or two clear polyurethane seal coats are applied, locking the flakes and setting the final gloss level.

Flake is a full 2 mm layered resin build with broadcast media and PU top coat. Epoxy paint is a single roller-applied coating — a fraction of the durability.
Very rarely. The texture, colour and PU top coat all help hide tyre transfer from cars and light MHE. Solid rubber forklift tyres can still leave shadows.
Yes — we can blend any combination of standard flake colours to match a brand palette or interior scheme.
10–15 years typical. Refresh the PU seal coat at year 5–8 to reset the appearance and slip.
The natural flake texture rates R10. In wet areas we broadcast a fine aggregate into the seal coat to lift to R11.
